Not saying there isn't one but no where near as bad as people have said. You must be a little princess if the light smell I smelt bothers you. It's called being new!!! Now mine probably took longer to inflate fully cause I waited do long and I did lean it on it's side after opening it and bounced it off the frame a few times by picking up the ends and letting them go after a few hours of sitting. Don't know if it helped but figure getting the springs active couldn't hurt because of how long i waited to open it. Had I not waited so long to open it I wouldn't have even bothered. It is inflated really well. I didn't sleep on it for 14 hours. I was worried because I waited so long to release it from being rolled up but it seems to have not harmed it at least from what I can see externally. Shouldn't have waited that long really. They roll it up right before shipping it and ask that you release it from the plastic within 72 hours of arrival. First night sleep was gloriously comfortable. I mean sleep like a baby type glorious!

After a short soak in the steamroom, I had the most amazing, creative massage with Pierre-Patrick followed by a soak in the candle-lit jacuzzi tub with my sweetie, complete with champagne and fruit. It's not to soft nor to hard. I am 6' 2" weigh 300lbs. and I am solely a side sleeper so trust me when I say it is a great side sleeper! Only one night so far and I slept longer in one position without waking then I've done in years. I slept for 12 hours! Yes I don't normally do that but I had an off day and could just lounge and I did it on my new bed, lol! Oh I checked and after that long of sleep zero indentions after getting out of bed! So if anyone is complaining about the 14" Spa bed you must be the pickiest person on the planet. Oh and I love the black color of the mattress. Some things to note: I did cover this mattress with a bought from Sam's Club quality Serta Smart Comfort Overfilled Mattress Pad it's more a cover then pad I didn't buy it for padding but to protect the bed. It works great. The box size of the 14" King size mattress comes in will probably be trashed on one end or the other mine was. Heck the thing weighs in at around 150 lbs. for the King mattress but it is well sealed in plastic so if the plastic isn't damaged doesn't matter what happened to the box or what it looks like.
