The staff also coordinated for us to take a day trip to Phi Phi Island and dealt with all of the bookings for us. I can't praise the staff enough. We will absolutely stay here again. Quiet friendly staff. They have a Western and Thai buffet with many options to choose from. They will also make different kinds of egg dishes and it is customized to your liking. You also get to eat breakfast with the view of the beach which is very relaxing. The food was mediocre. We only ate breakfast at the hotel out of convenience and not really for taste. They provided some weird options for breakfast. We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. Our room was large, comfortable and spotless, the staff was such a pleasure to deal with (even those with very limited English), the view from the pool area was lovely, and the location walkable to several excellent restaurants. We were very fortunate to be there for the New Years Gala during which we enjoyed an excellent array of authentic Thai food and entertainment, followed by a wonderful fireworks display.
Should we return to Thailand we would definitely come back to Nakamanda! The pool needs a refresh - the colour from the tiles is wearing quite badly but that is really a minor thing.
