Rowe named it Don Ce-Sar after Don César de Bazan, the hero of William Vincent Wallace 's opera Maritana. It made a beautiful venue! The pools, hot tub, and beach are beautiful. The pool side bar is also great!! Thoroughly enjoyed the amenities: 2 pools, several beach bars and a private beach for patrons. Historic building, well maintained and skillfully managed. Every single person I have encountered during My stay has been a pleasure to interact recommend Don Cesar for your next event... staff, service, accommodations and meals are all amazing. Negative comment is that they nickel and dime a bit. Shouldn't charge a resort fee and then charge for a beach chair. My personal favorite St. Pete Beach resort. This hotel has a luxurious feel throughout. The setting is elegant but the rooms are small. Many people decide to have a wedding or special occasion on site. The pool and beachside is great for couples or families.
